Pacific Atlantic positions for Nigeria's lithium value chain

Why beneficiating lithium inside Nigeria — rather than exporting concentrate — is the single highest-value decision available to the sector today.

Pacific Atlantic positions for Nigeria's lithium value chain

Nigeria holds one of the largest lithium endowments on the African continent. The prevailing pattern across the sector, however, remains the export of raw or lightly processed concentrate, with the substantial value added elsewhere.

Pacific Atlantic's long-term position is that this is a solvable problem. Beneficiation to battery-grade material, and ultimately to batteries manufactured domestically, keeps value in the Nigerian economy and creates the storage capacity that mega-scale solar generation requires to be useful.

We are actively seeking interface with lithium battery manufacturers, photovoltaic cell and panel manufacturers, and renewable energy developers to accelerate this plan.
